Mr Samson Lee

Mr. Samson Lee is the Honorary Guest lecturer of HSMC-EDC and he is a serial tech-entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience in AI, blockchain, cryptocurrency & cryptoasset, token sale / ICO, digital entertainment, new media, social media, mobile/e-commerce, IoT and smart consumer devices. He has proven track records creating, investing, incubating, operating, and capitalizing successful e-ventures in APAC regions.

Mr. Lee is a business innovator. Throughout the years, he has commercialized many ground breaking digital services and e-business operations across in Asia, including world’s first “charge-to-bill” mobile VAS payment service in 2000 with Hutchison Telecom, world’s first verified-by-VISA SMS payment service with VISA and Bank of China in 2002, world’s first mobile e-wallet in 2003 with HKCSL, Asia’s first O2O e-commerce in 2004 with Li & Fung Group, Asia’s first premium Hollywood movies VOD service in 2006 with Videonline, China’s first 3D HD smart TV in 2010, and world’s first 4G premium VOD service in 2012 with China Mobile. 

Currently, He is Asia President of Next.TV Inc., world’s largest global Chinese MCN with over 30 billion minutes watched in 2016.

Founder of CoinStreet, Founding Executive Chairman of China (Guangdong, Hong Kong, Macau) Greater Bay Area TechFin Association, Co-founder of Hong Kong Blockchain Centre, Co-Founder of Ethereum south China and south Asia communities; Chief Crypto-economic Advisor of Gibraltar Blockchain Exchange, board advisor of Universa.io, Asia President of Next.TV Inc. and Chairman of STM Digital Group.

Mr. Lee graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce from the University of Toronto, and an MBA and a Master of Science degrees from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology – School of Business and Management.
