Course Overview:

The main objective of the program is to train participants to Look, Act and Sound like a Leader. Just five minutes in front of the right audience can be worth more than a whole year behind a desk.

You are what you say. You define your place in society by how you talk. We gain or lose status based on what we say and how we say it. Presentation means presenting information to people who want to be informed. It means seeing the trends and changes and initial signs. People hear and remember what you say and take appropriate action.


Upon successful completion of the course, participants will obtain a “Certificate of attendance”.

Trainer Biography:


Mr Khalid Khan

Mr. Khalid Khan is the honorary guest lecturer of HSUHK-EDC. He has over 20 years Toastmasters experience. He was the former President of Island Toastmasters Club and won the International Speech Division Contest & the top sixth finalists out of 20 contestants from 6 countries in Penang, District contest in Malaysia in 2004.

Mr. Khan has served in Hong Kong’s Correctional Services Department for 33 years before retiring in 2007. In the years since, he has honed his presentation and communication skills by taking part in and winning numerous Public Speaking competitions. He has been involved with Toastmasters Hong Kong for over twenty years, serving as President of Island Toastmasters in 2005 and 2006. He regularly travels around Asia giving workshops on being a Star Performer.

Mr. Khan represented Hong Kong in hockey at the East Asian Games. He has written a book, “You Can Shine”, and is the founder of two organizations, Circle of Charm and World Class Academy for Tomorrow’s Youth Development. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
