Course Overview:

In today’s changing business environment, organizations and business enterprises have to change constantly to remain competitive, maintain compatibility and stay ahead of others from time to time, and unexpected mergers and acquisitions have become norms in our business world. Living in this digitized and globalized economy, everyone must learn diligently to meet the worldwide fast changing pace, and business executives have to lead their organizations in keeping up with development and excelling above their competitors for healthy growth and survival.

This course is designed for senior leaders and managers who desire to develop their skills and knowledge to master their corporate development needs, explore the best ways to cope with global revolutions, grasp ever-changing daily business opportunities; transform themselves, lead and motivate their teams to keep up with market development pace and perform to outpace their competitors.

To enhance a successful change management culture, senior management staff must equip themselves with a positive change mindset, take the lead to implement changes and motivate their staff to make appropriate changes, and enhance their usage of structured skills (through the simple 5W1H) and manipulate feasible plans (through the AEIRAR concept) in preparing to cope with challenges and implementing changes in their daily operation. We will motivate participants with a good understanding of the need for change and how to get themselves psychologically and physically (action-oriented) prepared to cooperate with their team members for managing change in the organization. The training course will emphasize the implementation part, and engage participants in the HOW process to achieve their goals.

Case studies, group discussions & exercises, in addition to lecturing and sharing will be used to bring out the concepts and motivate participants to enhance their change management skills. 


Upon successful completion of the course, participants will obtain a Certificate of Attendance.

Course Outline:

l   Define key steps for Managing Change.

l   Develop a plan to instigate Change while recognizing barriers and constraints.

l   Communicate Change effectively through a range of methods.

l   Develop skills to create Change effectively within their team / organization.

l   Develop a Change plan through proper use of AEIRAR concept that can be immediately instigated – Anticipating,          Envisioning, Implementing, Reacting, Adapting and Readying.

l   Manage and motivate people effectively during the Change process. 

Trainer Biography:


Dr. Victor Ng is the Adjunct Associate Professor, Department of Economics and Finance, HSMC. He is currently the Senior Vice President and Division Head of Banking Administration of China Construction Bank. He is responsible to oversee the strategic initiatives like M&As, integrations and branch network expansion of the Bank. Ever since September 2006, Dr. Ng was appointed as the Executive to oversee several merger and acquisitions (“M&A”) of several cross-border banks and financial institutions. After their completions, he was appointed further as the Integration Executive to spearhead the individual integrations into one consolidated Entity. Dr Ng has rich experience in managing organizational diversity.

Dr Ng started his career in banking as a Management Trainee in Sun Hong Kai Bank Ltd in 1981 (currently known as Fubon Bank (HK) Ltd). In October 1987, he joined “Security Pacific Asian Bank”, the predecessor to Bank of America (Asia) Bank as the Business Development Manager. Thereafter, he was appointed as Division Head of Consumer Banking branches, Head of Centralized Consumer Credit Processing Department, Residential Mortgage Product Manager and Mortgage Securitization Manager of the Bank.

Dr Ng graduated from Hong Kong Baptist University in 1981 and obtained his Master of Business Administration from the University of East Asia in Macau in 1989. He graduated from Retail Bank Management of USA Consumer Bankers Association’s Graduate School at the University of Virginia, USA. in 2002. In 2013, Dr Ng obtained his Doctor of Business Administration with distinction Honor and was bestowed the Scholastic Award. Currently, he is also an adjunct associate professor of the Hong Kong Baptist University teaching Part-time Master degree programs in Guangzhou, Zhuhai and Shenzhen of Mainland China, including Change Management, Marketing and Leadership and has delivered over 1000 lecture hours on this topic to business executives in Hong Kong and China. Dr Ng is an expert on Change Management. Other than being the project head for the mergers & acquisitions for China Construction Bank on Bank of America, he made a track record as the fastest and smoothest transaction for this M&A project. He delivered training internally for staff of China Construction Bank & Bank of America, externally he has done a lot of training for different types of organizations, including MNCs, local corporations, and mainland China organizations with very impressive feedback.
